PoC for a customer who sends real data
PoC Academy: how to build a PoC
New to PoCs? Start here. What you need, which data to ask for, and how to load it without surprises.
Open the PoC Academy →PoC Importer: load customer data
Take the Excel files a customer sent, check them, fix what is wrong and send them to ivoflow.
Open the PoC Importer →Demo Data for a demo without customer data
PoC Importer
Raw customer files in, clean ivoflow data out. Five steps, left to right.
Tell the tool which ivoflow server this PoC runs on and sign in. Nothing is sent yet — this only opens the door.
Target system
Every PoC runs on its own server, so check the URL before
signing in. The account needs role super_user or
service_user and the import permission.
Credentials are used for this sign-in only. The token is held in the local server's memory and never written to disk.
No server yet? You can still do steps 2 to 4 and use a dry run in step 5.
Run settings
Things no SAP export contains. The defaults work for most customers.
Only matters for values like 1,250, which is
1.25 in a German export and 1250 in an English one.
Defaults for fields no export contains
What can be loaded
Read from openapi.json. Data is sent in this
order so that master data always exists before the records referencing it.
Drop everything the customer sent. The tool works out which SAP table each file is. If it guesses wrong, change “read as” on that file.
Customer files
Drop the ivoflow PoC Importer workbook, or individual Excel/CSV exports (SAP standard tables are recognised automatically).
Drop files here or
.xlsx, .xlsm, .csv, .tsv — every sheet becomes one source
The tool already filled in which column goes where. Usually you only look at the red blocks. Everything can be changed. Then press Build & check.
Mapping
One block per target. Change a column, use a fixed value, or switch a target off.
This is a health check of the data. Red means a value could not be used. Yellow means take a look. Press Fix next to a problem to correct the value right here, then Apply & re-check. Your corrections never change the customer's original file.
Check & fix
Mandatory fields, types and plausibility — step 4.4 of the PoC process.
Check the list, then press Send. Not sure yet? Tick Dry run — it builds everything and sends nothing.
Send to ivoflow
Batched to each endpoint's limit, in dependency order. Sending stops at the first failing batch so dependent records are not imported against incomplete master data. The check in step 4 does not hold anything back — the import API has the final say.
